CCF Statements of Belief

What We Believe

At Campus Christian Fellowship, our beliefs are rooted in the teachings of the Bible and the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. We seek to live out these beliefs in our daily lives through discipleship, community, and service. As a community of students and leaders, we are committed to helping each other grow in faith and reflect the love of Christ in all that we do.

Scripture is the authoritative and inspired Word of God. It reveals His interactions with His creation, His covenant with mankind, and all things past, present, and future. The Bible is without error and written by men who were led by the Holy Spirit to record God’s message to mankind. The Bible is the final authority in all matters in faith and practice.

Galatians 1:6-8 2 | Timothy 3:16-17
Hebrews 4:12 | 2 Peter 1:20-21
There is only One Indivisible Almighty God who exists in three distinct but co-equal persons which is called the Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The Persons of the Trinity were not created and do not have a beginning or an end. God’s power is unlimited. Through God all things were created that have ever been created and ever will be created. All of this is done as the Father acts through the Son and by the work of the Holy Spirit.

Deuteronomy 6:4 | Psalm 90:2; 102:25-27
Isaiah 44:6 | John 3:16; 14:15-17, 25-26
Colossians 1:15-20
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was fully God and fully human. While on the earth, Jesus possessed all the powers and characteristics of God, yet He suffered the same pains and temptations as all mankind. Jesus suffered physical death on a cross to pay for the sins of all mankind, and He physically rose from the dead and ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus, along with the Holy Spirit, intercedes and mediates between mankind and God the Father. One day, Jesus will come back to Earth to gather His disciples to be with Him forever.

Luke 1:31-35; 24:36-44 | John 1:1-4, 14,18
Romans 5:8; 8:34 | Philippians 2:5-11
Colossians 1:15-20; 2:9 | Hebrews 2: 14-18
Mankind was created by God in His image, both male and female, and was given authority over all creatures of the earth. Mankind was/is given free will to choose between good and evil. Because of mankind’s sinfulness, they are separated from God and deserving of death. All people are destined to die physically, then face judgment for the choices they have made. Those who continue in the bondage of sin will be condemned to spiritual death.

Genesis 1:26-28; 3:5-6 | Deuteronomy 30:19
Ecclesiastes 7:20 | Isaiah 59:1-2
Matthew 10:28 | Romans 1:24-32; 3:23
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 | Hebrews 9: 27
Revelation 21:6-8
God offers mankind a new covenant of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ and is offered to all by grace through faith. This faith is demonstrated through: repentance - a turning away from sin; confession - a declaration of Christ and His Lordship over their lives; baptism by immersion - being connected with Christ through His death, burial, and resurrection; and faithfulness - a life of loyal allegiance and obedience to Jesus as King. There is no other way to be made right in God’s eyes or to receive God’s gift of eternal life.

John 3:16; 14:6 | Acts 2:37-38; 4:12
Romans 3:22-24; 6:3-5; 10:9-17 | 1 Corinthians 15:2
Ephesians 2:8-9 | Colossians 1:21-23
Titus 3:3-7 | Hebrews 9:15,28 | 1 John 5:11-13
